Awards

On March 5, 2024 SPFA will host the National Industry Excellence Awards Program at SprayFoam 2024. There will be awards in several categories for projects that demonstrate excellence in our industry.

The entire NIE Program has been revamped and our goal is to increase SPFA Member participation. We've made the submission process easier to encourage more nominations. We are also opening up the voting so each SPFA Member can cast a vote in each of the categories!

Details will be added to this page as they become available. SPFA reserves the right to update information and make modifications as we progress. Our goal is to keep the process transparent. Please direct any questions to Kelly Marcavage at kmarcavage@sprayfoam.org.

New for 2023:

  • Easier and quicker submission process (2 minute videos or brief written submission (in bulleted format) instead of lengthy form)
  • Incentives for early submissions - SAVE $$ on your membership dues with valuable vouchers if you submit early.
‚Äč

  • Limit of one project submitted in each category by a company. A company may have a submission in more than one category, but just one in any specific category.
  • New judging procedures - each category will be judged by 2 groups
    • Group 1 - Panel of industry experts for that particular category will vote on their top choice
    • Group 2 - SPFA Members - Voting Rep from each member company may cast a vote in each of the 7 categories.
    • Vote is based on overall merit of the project taking into account the criteria defined here.
    • In the event of a tie, the panel of judges will vote on the projects with tied scores to determine winner.

The SPFA reserves the right to change the category to which a project has been submitted if the SPFA determines that there is a category that more closely represents the nature of the project.

Submissions are requested and encouraged from across the membership. Each company is limited to ONE project per category. A company may submit projects in multiple categories, but just one in each.

The awards program is intended to highlight exceptional projects across the industry and in the interest of doing so, SPFA believes this policy reinforces diversity and broad recognition, while encouraging and empowering a wide selection of companies to participate.
