SCAM ALERT: Emails and Phone Callers Selling Lists and Hotel Rooms

Spray Foam Industry Members,
SPFA has received several recent reports of emails and phone calls from companies offering member and show attendee lists, as well as discounted hotel rooms for our upcoming SprayFoam 2024 Convention and Expo.
- Please proceed with caution before you respond to any of these solicitations.
- SPFA advises all recipients of these calls and emails to ignore them as you would any other spam or scam communication.
LISTS FOR SALE
SPFA does NOT sell any member mailing lists or attendee lists from prior or future SprayFoam events. Emails representing that a recipient can purchase these SPFA lists are patently false. More importantly, any list you may receive in exchange for payment may be bogus or incomplete, or you may not receive a list at all. Many of these companies or individuals operate outside of the US, and it will be unlikely you will receive any requested refund.
HOTEL RESERVATIONS
Any emails or phone calls soliciting the purchase of discounted rooms for SprayFoam 2024 at the Las Vegas Westgate are from unauthorized and unreliable “vendors” who in no way are associated with SPFA or the Convention. Rooms should be booked at the hotel venue only via the means authorized by SPFA.
Members, exhibitors and attendees have been solicited and advisories issued SPFA has joined in the effort to combat impersonation fraud alongside numerous trade associations and conference events. Thank you to Rep. Susie Lee and Senators Rosen and Cortez Masto, as well as Reps. Horsford and Titus for helping us elevate the issue to the Federal Trade Commission. Many of you have seen our notices to watch for impersonation scams related to SPFA, the SprayFoam Convention & Expo attendee lists and hotel bookings. Please continue to ignore those and watch for information, which comes directly from us. (Note: We will never sell our event attendee lists). |
