SPFA Safety Committee Releases Bi-Lingual Jobsite Safety Signs for Members
The SPFA Safety Committee has recently developed two new bi-lingual (English and Spanish) jobsite safety signs, exclusively for SPFA Contractor Members. The 8.5” x 11” full-color signs, available as PDF file downloads from the members-only section of the SPFA website, can be printed and posted at all SPF jobsites. These signs, reviewed by several federal agencies, meet OSHA requirements for hazard communication, using the new HCIS symbols and meet safety sign standards per ANSI Z535. The first sign is a ‘Do Not Enter’ sign for posting around the spray zone during and just after foam installation to prevent entry by those not wearing appropriate PPE. The second is a ‘Fire Warning’ sign which should be posted after installation but before approved thermal and ignition barriers are installed over the foam to help prevent accidental foam ignition during hot work.
SPFA believes that the path to a healthful, safe, high-quality and performing SPF installation travels through the hands of a knowledgeable, trained, experienced, and ideally PCP-certified professional contractor.
