BRIEF: Fire proves a close call

Nov. 16--LEE -- Nearly a dozen Main Street residents escaped unharmed from their apartments following a small fire Saturday morning that officials said could have been worse.
Lee firefighters were called to the three-story Sorrentino Block at the corner of Main and Center streets around 7 a.m. Saturday.
"The foam insulation kept the fire from spreading and going through the roof," Sparks said. The fire was caused by an electrical problem within the bathroom's ceiling exhaust fan, Sparks said. A cost estimate of the damage is unknown. More>>
