Spray Foam Coalition to Host Booth at ACI Home Performance Conference
WASHINGTON, DC (March 19, 2012) – The Spray Foam Coalition (SFC) of the American Chemistry Council’s Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) will be at the Affordable Comfort Institute’s (ACI) National Home Performance Conference in Baltimore from March 27 to 29 to promote the benefits of spray polyurethane foam.
Spray polyurethane foam can improve the energy efficiency of homes with its air barrier and air sealing properties, which can help reduce energy costs. In addition to providing helpful information about the weatherization applications of spray foam, representatives of the SFC will be available to discuss the unique properties and benefits provided by spray foam.
“I encourage all home performance professionals, as well as anyone interested in energy efficiency issues, to visit the SFC booth at the ACI conference,” said CPI Senior Director Lee Salamone. “Informing the building community and consumers about spray foam’s many benefits and applications is one of the SFC’s most important goals, and this conference provides a great venue to explain how SPF can insulate, address air leakage and help manage moisture when properly applied.”
As spray foam continues to grow in popularity, CPI and the SFC have developed spray foam stewardship documents and other materials, including the websites www.spraypolyurethane.orgwww.whysprayfoam.org. With the addition of product benefits literature, the library of materials available for free to spray foam professionals, builders and homeowners has expanded significantly.
The ACI’s National Home Performance Conference will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center from March 26 to 30. The SFC will host a booth in Ballroom I – IV, Level 400 from the 27th to the 29th. Booth 327 is located near the refreshments in the Baltimore Convention Center.
