Fairfax, VA.  The Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA) is pleased to announce the election of new Executive Committee Officers and Board members for the 2008 -2010 term.  These members have taken it upon themselves to provide the association, and the industry, with expert guidance on strategic, promotional, operational, technical and a host of other issues.  They are poised to shepherd SPFA and the industry into the next levels of growth, performance and delivery of products and services.

The SPFA Executive Committee members for the upcoming term are:  President, Sean Stumler, Principle & V.P. of Sales for Insulated Roofing Contractors (www.ircroof.com); Vice President, Sig Hall, V.P. & General Manager for Western Pacific Roofing Co. (www.westpacroof.com); Treasurer, Renee Zierden, Director of BaySystems Insulation Systems N.A., BayerMaterial Science (www.bayermaterialsciencenafta.com).  The Executive Committee also includes Mr. Brad Houlden, President, Houlden Contracting, in the capacity of Immediate Past-President.  The Board of Directors will have new representation through the addition of Bob Duke, President, Carolina Comfort Foam.

“The fact that we have many Board members returning for another term of service is testament to the value and growing strength of the organization,” said Mr. Stumler, looking forward to his upcoming term as President.  “The experience levels of returning members, coupled with the fresh ideas, motivation and perspectives of new members, make this one of the strongest Boards for SPFA that I have seen since getting involved many years ago.  We are on the precipice of extraordinary growth, new challenges, and expanding resource deliverables for our members – this is a very exciting time to be in SPFA and the SPF business.”

“SPFA realized significant changes on my watch – all of them for the better.  The focus of SPFA on growing the market, developing consistent technical documentation, creating new promotional programs and operational improvements, as well as absolutely critical R&D projects, all represent our foundation for continued growth,” offered Mr. Houlden, reflecting upon his time at the helm.  “It was my greatest pleasure presiding over the Board, and working with all of the wonderful people that make up this industry, and I look forward to maintaining my involvement as Past-President.”

“The leadership and commitment from these Board members is unparalleled in my experience,” said Kurt Riesenberg, Executive Director of SPFA.  “These folks really understand the SPF business from all sides, in some cases having been in it for generations, and all are pulling in the same direction to realize the greatest outcome for this industry.  The organization is in very capable and effective hands.”

“I am glad I am not our competition,” he added.  “We have momentum, organization, leadership, direction and a growing membership.  What more could we ask for as we prepare for another challenging but certain-to-be fantastic year?  With all of the focus on energy efficiency, conservation and rising energy costs, I can’t think of a product other than SPF, or a stronger Board, that I would rather be associated with in this current and forthcoming market landscape.”
